Your new role
As Sr. Product Process Development Engineer you will be taking care of activities in the field of development, optimization and implementation of new and existing production processes and methods. Some of your core tasks will include the development of new production processes and test methods as well as scaling up and optimizing them. You will design, manufacture and install necessary equipment and software to achieve a reliable, robust and efficient production. Developing or adapting raw materials or the specifications surrounding them will be under your care. You will design, develop and realise ophthalmic medical devices using the design control process in new product introduction projects. It may also include performing product or process transfers to and from other locations as well as participation in or lead project teams and other consultative bodies. Finally, you will be involved in drafting protocols, reports and performing validation tests, drawing up and documenting product and process specifications and increasing and transferring product and process knowledge through training and instructions.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for someone who has a technically orientated training, HBO level at a minimum, preferable with a background in mechanical engineering, chemistry, automation or electrical engineering work experience. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, seniority in the role mainly depends on the complexity and/ or size of projects and activities and the degree of independence in implementation. You are knowledgeable in GMP, QSR, MDD, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 or ISO 11979. You are knowledgeable in work instructions and procedures, Lean Six Sigma, design control, product and process validations, design for manufacturability (DFM), automation, robotics and industry 4.0. You are both flexible and accurate while being able to function both independently and in a team. You also have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language.
